Our approach
factSMARTER is made by moo53labs. You can play without creating an account. We keep your quiz record on your device. Apple and RevenueCat handle information needed to manage purchases, and Google AdMob processes information to provide ads. This policy covers the app and its website.
Your quiz record stays on your device
Your display name, quiz answers and results, preferences, saved practice information and content-notification choice are stored locally. The app does not send that quiz record or display name to moo53labs, RevenueCat or Google. We do not operate a cloud profile or leaderboard for your quiz record. Device backups are managed by your operating system and backup settings.
Purchases
Apple processes payments. We do not receive your payment-card details. RevenueCat processes an automatically generated app user identifier, purchase and transaction information, and entitlement status to validate purchases, unlock packs, restore access, prevent fraud and provide purchase reporting. The current app does not send RevenueCat your name, email address or quiz results. Purchase records may remain with Apple and RevenueCat after you reset your local quiz record.
Advertisements and privacy choices
The app uses Google AdMob for interstitial ads between parts of a round and when returning from completed results. Google may process your IP address and approximate location, device or app identifiers, ad impressions and interactions, and diagnostic or performance information for advertising, measurement and service operation. The information used depends on device permissions, consent choices and applicable requirements. Where required, the app presents Google’s consent message and offers Ad privacy choices in You. Buying Go ad free stops third-party ad loading and display in the app; it does not erase previously processed information.
Website, question sources and downloads
The factSMARTER pages we provide do not include analytics scripts, advertising pixels or account sign-in. Our contact form processes the information you submit and uses a session cookie and short-lived, hashed network identifiers for spam prevention. Website hosting may process ordinary connection information and access logs to deliver and secure pages. Opening a question source or another external link connects to that website, whose privacy policy applies. If downloadable question packs are enabled, checking or downloading contacts the pack host; your quiz record is not included in those requests.
Support and content notifications
If you use our contact form, we receive your reply email address, message, request category and any optional name or information you include. The form uses a session cookie, a hidden spam-check field and temporary rate limits; hashed network identifiers are used only for short-lived rate limits, with expired rate-limit files cleared on later form requests. We use this to answer your request and provide support. Please avoid sending payment-card details or other sensitive information. The current content-notification choice is stored on your device; notification delivery is not active and no push registration is performed by this version. We will update this policy before introducing a service that changes these practices.
Your choices and requests
You can reset your saved name, quiz results and quiz preferences in You → Reset my local record. That reset does not revoke purchases or delete records held by Apple or RevenueCat. Change content-notification preferences in You. Use Ad privacy choices when available and your device privacy settings for applicable advertising permissions. For questions or requests to access or delete information we hold through support or purchase services, use our contact form at moo53labs.com/factSMARTER/contact.php. We will respond as applicable to your request and legal obligations; some transaction records may need to be retained.
Retention and protection
Local quiz information stays on the device until removed or reset, subject to device backups. Support and purchase-service information is retained as needed to respond to requests, provide and restore purchases, prevent fraud and meet legal obligations. We do not sell your quiz record or display name. Our service providers process information for the services described here under their own terms and privacy practices.
